It depends on how we look at things, and not on how they are themselves. — C.G. Jung
Membership and Donation
CFJ membership corresponds with the academic calendar and is renewable each fall. Your tax-deductible membership includes free admission for your entire household to each of this year’s CFJ events and free access to our full video library of current and past virtual programs. Please join or renew your membership before our first event on September 20th in order to participate in all five programs and receive links to video recordings at no extra fee!
As always, we’ve recruited an exciting lineup of scholars, each of whom has developed an aptitude in making presentations and facilitating discussions in a virtual format. All this year’s events will be recorded, so you won’t need to worry about missing a presentation. We’ll deliver a link to your inbox the week after each event, giving you the opportunity to watch (or rewatch) at your convenience.
CFJ is a 501c3 organization; as such, we rely on our members. Membership fees go directly towards programming costs, providing scholarships (see below) as well as to meet basic operating expenses. If you’re unable to select full membership at this time, you can purchase individual events at the non-member rate. You’ll find a payment link for each individual event on our Calendar page.
Member Rates:
One Household Rate for All: $74 (Tax-Deductible)
If you've purchased a single program admission for $25 for the current season, you can upgrade to a full household rate for an additional $49.

The Underwood Scholarship
Remembering Joan Underwood
For many of us, to be a Friend of Jung has meant being a friend of Joan. Joan Underwood and her husband Dick were founding members of Charlotte Friends of Jung so long ago that none of us can even remember when it all began, after all, Joan was our Kleio, Muse of History. Joan passed away June 13, 2023. She was our stalwart and constant support on the board.
In her and Dick's honor, and with donations that have been pledged, we're naming our scholarship fund the Underwood Scholarship. She would have loved the idea that we're encouraging interest in Jungian thought to others and new generations. If you know of someone who might benefit from this fund, ask them to contact us. Click here if you'd like to contribute to the Underwood Scholarship by rounding up your household membership to $100. Click here for a link to Joan's obituary.
Scholarships are available based on attendee's ability to pay. To arrange for a confidential scholarship, please contact the treasurer, Larry Sorkin, prior to the event at 704.236.2337 or cfjregistrar@gmail.com.
